Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea

The novel by Jules Verne was originally serialized from March 1869 through June 1870 in a periodical of Pierre Jules Hetzel's who was a French editor and publisher.
The deluxe illustrated edition, published by Hetzel in November 1871, included 111 illustrations.
The book was highly acclaimed when released, and still is now. It is regarded as one of the premiere adventure novels and one of Verne's greatest works.
It was published in English in 1872.

In 1954 Walt Disney personally produced the movie 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.
It was directed by Richard Fleischer and was the very first science fiction film to be shot in Cinema Scope.

A must own for that library!
I must pop some corn and watch this once again!
It stars Kirk Douglas, James Mason,Paul Lukas and Peter Lorre....
